We are seeking motivated, customer-focused Route Service Representative to service and grow our local route. The Route Service Representative will make daily visits delivering and picking up customer products on an assigned route. This role is physical, challenging, and consists of being indoors/outdoors. Routes are serviced daytime hours Monday through Friday because we believe nights and weekends should be reserved for personal and family time.
We Offer:

We are seeking a driven customer focused Route Trainee to join the Service team. As a Route Trainee, you will support the Service Department by helping Route Service Representatives with loading and unloading trucks, delivering, and picking up customer products, maintaining vehicle safety, and covering assigned routes when needed. When covering routes, this individual will drive a company vehicle to and from customer stops along an assigned route. This role is physical, challenging, and consists of being indoors/outdoors. Routes are serviced daytime hours Monday through Friday because we believe nights and weekends should be reserved for personal and family time.
This position is ideal for individuals who prefer their workday to always be a little different and want to get their foot in the door to establish a career in Route Service. The Route Service Supervisor will supervise and work with Route Service Representatives who deliver to multiple customers per day - ranging from small family-owned businesses to major corporate locations. This is an entry level management position for a career minded individual interested in advancement.
Compensation: $48,000 - $60,000
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the training and development of a team of Route Service Representatives.
- Respond to service requests and addressing customer needs and concerns.
- Negotiate customer contract renewals.
- Build strong relationships with your customers and your service team.
- Work closely with all other leadership and management team members to provide the best customer service and product programs.
- Provide route coverage when a Route Service Representative is sick or on vacation which provides you the perfect opportunity to check-in on your Rep’s performance and their customers’ level of satisfaction and loyalty.

The St. Louis Mat & Linen Company is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Production Supervisor to join our Service Organization. As a Production Supervisor, you will be a key player in helping to lead the production team and drive top level performance. At The St. Louis Mat & Linen Company, we have a 5-day work week, enjoy Saturday & Sunday off!! We have an immediate opening and provide on the job training.
Compensation: $42,000-$52,000
What you’ll be doing:
- Train, mentor, and guide plant personnel to success while maintaining morale and safety. You will be responsible for ensuring adequate level of performance, discipline, integrity, and productivity of employees.
- Schedule and ensure an adequate level of trained employees on the plant floor.
- Work hand in hand with production floor personnel to ensure product flow throughout our facility.
- Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
- Work with management to develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance within company, federal, and state safety and occupational regulations.
- Implement quality programs communicated by the quality system and quality policy.
- Work with management to resolve worker grievances.
- Follow all safety policies, HACCP, OSHA, and medical guidelines.

The St. Louis Mat & Linen Company is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Production Associate who can work in the Linen Department, Mat Department, or the Wash Alley. We process dirty industrial mats, towels, and table linens from the Soil Area, through the Wash Alley, and finally through the Finishing Area. This is a physical job that requires you to be on your feet most of the day.
No nights or weekends. This is a fulltime position that begins at 7:00 am and finishes at 3:30 pm Monday thru Friday.
Compensation: $14-$17/hour
What you’ll be doing:
Loading/Unloading Wash Machines & Dryers with towels, mats, and table linen.
Layout table linens and sheets prior to processing through ironers/folders
Feeding napkins and aprons through ironer/accumulator

Unloading Mats from delivery trucks

Compensation: $16-20/hr.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions and entering them into QuickBooks.
- Collect on accounts by sending invoice reminders and communication with customers via phone, email, fax or mail.
- Prepare and distribute monthly statements, consolidated invoices, monthly invoices, and quarterly invoices.
- Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Work with the Customer Service Department and Sales Department.
- Process daily route reports, rack loads, route detail reports and invoices daily.
- Handle customer complaints and direct to the appropriate solution manager.
- Manage and support human resource issues.
- Process applications and set up new employees with insurance and payroll.
- Assist all employees with basic benefits, health insurance, SIMPLE, vacation/sick time, and payroll issues.
- Answer telephone and give information to callers or route call to appropriate person.
- Manage accounts receivables collection to expectable levels.
Qualification requirements
- Associates Degree in Accounting and/or a minimum of 1-3 years account receivable or banking experience. Experience with QUICKBOOKS a huge PLUS!
- Knowledge of general accounting principles plus bookkeeping and filing skills. High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality. Excellent data entry skills.

The St. Louis Mat & Linen Company is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Supervisor to join our Team! As the Maintenance Supervisor you will ensure all facility equipment is efficiently functioning and identify areas to improve processes, procedures, maintenance practices on an on-going basis.
Compensation: $65,000-$75,000
What you’ll be doing:
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective action by checking blueprints, schematics, repair manuals and parts catalogs.
- Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Perform and assign all preventive maintenance on facility and production assets.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications using a documented schedule.
- Perform direct fire and wastewater pre-treatment system testing, record results in logbooks / computer systems and make necessary chemical adjustments as required.
- Manage and assign all equipment maintenance, including repairs which cannot be completed during standard hours.
- Oversee and implement all maintenance related regulatory and environmental compliance requirements.
- Perform Confined Space and Lockout / Tagout procedures where appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications

- High school and/or GED is preferred.
- Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background is preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record are required.
- Knowledgeable in maintenance equipment. This includes wiring, electrical, mechanical, electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing required.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment required. Applicable military experience will be considered.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics is required.
- Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English required.
- Experience in Hand & Power tools is required.
- Ability to work overtime as needed is required.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
